5 stereoviews on cardstock mounts, ca 1870s-1890s, featuring the following scenes:
Uncredited stereoview captioned on verso, "Negro School, Augusta, GA / No. 16," showing a group of African American children standing together outside a schoolhouse.
[With:] 2 stereoviews of a group of African American women seated on the front porch of what appears to be the same residence. The first is uncredited, but includes an applied paper label on verso that reads, "Cooks, Chambermaids, Nurses and one Hostler of Gen. Geo. Washington, found in and around St. Augustine, Florida." The second stereoview includes the manuscript caption, "Colored House, St. Aug.," and verso imprint of F.H. Orvis.
